In recent months, there has been a rise in recruitment scams. Fraudsters are impersonating KOS or KOS’s consultants through emails, social media, and messaging platforms like WhatsApp and WeChat to steal personal information or money. We want to alert you to remain vigilant and safeguard your personal information from malicious activities.

Common Tactics Used in Recruitment Scams
1. Requests for Financial Information or Payments
• Fraudsters may ask for sensitive personal details, such as bank account or credit card information, or demand payment in exchange for job placement or application processing. KOS will never request direct payment from candidates.
2. Fake Recruitment Consultant Communications
• Scammers may contact you via text message, social media platforms or messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram), pretending to represent KOS. They might offer fake job opportunities or ask for personal details.
• Legitimate communication from KOS will always come from our official email domain: @kos-intl.com

3. Fake Websites or Phishing Links
• Fraudulent websites may imitate legitimate recruitment firms to collect personal data or solicit payments. Always verify that the website you are visiting is secure (e.g., ensure the URL begins with “https://”) and authentic.
4. Unrealistic Job Offers
• Be cautious of job offers that guarantee high salaries or quick placements with minimal effort. Such offers are often too good to be true and may be part of a scam.

How to Protect Yourself
• Verify the Recruiter’s Identity – Always confirm the identity of the recruiter through official channels (company website, verified social media accounts). Our official email domain: @kos-intl.com
• Be Cautious of Unsolicited Messages: Do not click on suspicious links or respond to unverified messages.
• Stay Vigilant: Be skeptical of any request for financial or personal details. Never share sensitive personal data (e.g., ID numbers, bank details) with unverified individuals. Before attending interviews, confirm the legitimacy and safety of the meeting location.
