Global Supply Chain Operations Manager (FMCG)

Our client is a global leading FMCG Retailer. The company is looking for an experienced, committed and competent Operations and Supply Chain Manager to head-up our International core supply chains across APAC, Middle East and into Europe. This is a senior role with lots of opportunity for learning and development through experience. This is a strategic, hands on role which would suit someone looking to make a difference in a fast growth business. This role requires the ability to be able to spin multiple plates at once, prioritize effectively and be an unflappable problem solver.

Reporting to the International Sales Director, you will act as a strategic link between its manufacturers, the operations team and local sales teams and in doing so, you will also work closely wit Head Office Operations team and Finance team, as well as external factories, suppliers and customers.

Job Duties:

• Managing complex chilled supply chains with multiple processing steps internationally. This includes working seasonal supply chains and so a multi-faceted approach is essential
• Managing multiple ambient supply chains with multiple processing steps internationally.
• Raising orders and working closely with suppliers to ensure consistent supply of all finished products across the business. This includes working to component level and significant follow up to ensure all elements of product manufacturing are on track.
• Creating production forecasts based on demand with multiple scenarios.
• Continually amending demand and production plans as well as inventory forecasts based on new stock levels and reacting to changes in demand in the business, working closely with the sales team to build in new opportunities.
• Working alongside the technical team to approve suppliers and driving improvements in sourcing through continual review of supplier standards
• Working closely with the sales team on short term and long term forecasting tools to capture customer demand and maximise all commercial opportunities.
• Pro-actively review and source new suppliers for different components - raw materials, ingredients and packaging in line with product specifications.
• Working very closely with the Group Operations director to deliver the overall business operations strategy
• Working with the International Sales Director and local market sales team on a daily basis - with clear and consistent communication.
• Being responsible for the set up and maintenance of product data across the business including barcodes, product codes and 3PL codes.
