About our client
Our client is a reputable financial company, providing service to the global market and currently, with the need of expansion they are looking for an experienced DBA Specialist to join their infrastructure team.
About the role
- Work with the Global Infrastructure team to provide support and maintain database healthiness
- Perform regular compliance and baseline reviews to ensure standards are being adhered to
- Monitoring usage and performance of the database infrastructure and ensuring database infrastructure has a timely setup for projects and changes
- Implementing and maintaining database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges, access management, etc.)
- Engaging in database or system development projects to deliver smooth project implementation
- Reviewing and fine-tuning the database to achieve good performance of applications installed within the group
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System Management, Network Engineering, or related disciplines
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration
- Deep knowledge of MySQL databases; With MongoDB experience would be a plus
- Familiar with Linux & AWS cloud environment and Middleware, such as Nginx/Redis/Kafka/Elasticsearch, etc.
- Experience in any kinds of scripting language, ideally in Shell Scripting or Python
- Familiar with infrastructure operation environment with relevantly strict IT governance and regulation; With good IT security mindset is a plus
- Good command of English and Chinese(both Cantonese and Mandarin)
