Job Description

Oru client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join the team as the Director of Project Management. This is a newly created role, responsible for the planning and project management function. The incumbent will lead a team of 3 and will oversee the master planning of a large-scale mixed-use development, manage Government land grants and land matters, and ensure the successful completion of technical feasibility and planning studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the master planning process for the Phase 2 development project, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and urban planners to develop comprehensive and sustainable development plans.
  • Handle Government land grants and land matters, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate and manage land acquisitions, leases, and other land-related transactions.
  • Conduct and oversee technical feasibility studies, ensuring thorough analysis and robust planning from inception to completion.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for approval by relevant authorities and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement project management strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Lead and mentor a team of 3 project management professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community groups, to ensure effective communication and collaboration..

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale mixed-use developments
  • Proven track record in handling Government land grants, land matters, and managing technical feasibility and planning studies.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of land use planning, urban development, and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
