About the Client

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sous Chef to join one of the best Michelin Star Chefs restaurant in a 5-Star hotel in Macau, and to work under one of the most renowned French Michelin star chefs' brigade.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine and leading the back-of-house brigade of over 10 chefs, you will be a key senior member of the culinary team and you will make sure our operation runs without hitch, orders and incoming and outgoing deliveries flow seamlessly, and ensuring food hygiene and standards are maintained at the highest standards. Working closely with the Chef de Cuisine and the culinary team in France, you will develop a menu calendar and plan for innovative menu creation, and present these through informative, inspirational food tasting. You will develop a strong relationship with the front-of-house team by working together to demonstrate shared passion, clear communication and values that drive excellence. Lastly, you will be nurturing and developing the culinary team by sharing your expertise and passion.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 2 years' culinary experience working in a French Michelin star restaurant
  • Completion of 4 years' apprenticeship or relevant training food safety training, certificate (HACCP or ISO22000 preferred)
  • Has a strong passion of driving culinary excellence at a Michelin starred restaurant environment
  • Excellent leadership and people training experience
  • Proficient in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite for this role
