About the company

Our client is a well-established banking group headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in mainland China, London, New York and Singapore, providing full range of investment products in capital markets. With their continuous expansion in business, they are now looking for high calibre to join their Operations & Settlement team.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Operations & Settlement, you will lead a team in managing various investment product operations (under Non-equity team), including Fixed Income, OTC derivatives, exchange-traded derivatives, FX, Margin and other capital market collaterals. You have to work closely with product teams to develop overall product plans, managing new product on board, product launch strategy, system testing and related regulatory checking in growing various OTC product business. You are required to establish operation flow framework and monitor Collateral settlement on daily operations, including making Collateral variation margin calls and initial margin calls, record booking and dispute management. In addition, you need to submit regulatory reports and ensure credit risk control to achieve business objectives.

The successful applicant

To qualify, the successful individual must possess:

  • University Graduate in Business, Marketing or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in managing OTC Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX, Margin and Collateral operations in banks or sizable financial firms.
  • Excellent knowledge in OTC Derivatives product development, systems enhancement, operation procedures, settlement flow and related regulatory requirements.
  • Strong business sense, strategic mind and good people management.
  • Good analytical and computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel and VBA.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
