About the company

Our client is an international retail banking group in HK. To cope with their business expansion, they are now looking for a VP for their Internal Communications for their CEO Office.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Communications of CEO Office, you are responsible for developing and issuing internal communications content on staff and management communications independently. You have to lead initiatives and prepare materials for various company internal events, including CEO speech, presentations, townhalls, leadership sessions etc. aiming at enhancing engagement of employees. You will plan and support corporate communications for both local and group levels on social media channels such as Facebook, company intranet, IG, blog, news etc. You are requested to work closely with business teams to convey messages in increasing brand awareness and corporate image. In addition, you need to evaluate the result of various staff events and suggest sound communications solutions to strengthen stakeholders' relationships for the bank.

The successful applicant:

To qualify, the successful individual must possess:

  • Degree holder in Communications, Journalism or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in internal communications in banks, insurance companies or sizable financial firms (MNCs).
  • Solid experience in dealing directly with CEO in communications matters is necessary, such as townhalls, CEO messages, company newsletters, CEO speech etc..
  • Good knowledge in managing social media channels in communications is required.
  • Sound experience in stakeholder management and employee engagement is essential.
  • Multi-tasking, excellent presentation skills and able to work independently.
  • Native / almost native in spoken and written English is a must with excellent English writing skills (Chinese language ability (Cantonese and Mandarin) is optional).
  • Consider local candidates only (permanent HK residency) with banking experience is definitely an advantage.
